On Tuesday the 4th March all the children in our school were very excited as more and more students arrived with freshly made pancakes. After assembly we had our first lesson and all of the students could not stop checking the clock for the time. Eventually we got called and everyone ran to the door but our teacher Mr. Kelly said “no running or you will be last to get your pancake”.
When we got up to the lunch room we had a choice of lots of different toppings such as sugar, golden syrup, strawberry syrup, bananas, ice cream, whipped cream or chocolate syrup .Each child was allowed to have 2 pancakes each and everyone had them ate in no time at all. It was my last pancake Tuesday in St. Colmcille’s. Pancake Tuesdays will be some of my best memories in St. Colmcille’s!
