St. Colmcille’s qualified for the Roinn A county football final with a hard fought win over St.Mary’s CBS, Clonmel on Monday in Boherlahan. Only a point separated the teams at the half time interval but the boys in green stepped it up in the second half. St. Mary’s topped their group in the southern division and pushed all the way to the end. the ability to take their chances proved the difference in the end as we won the game on a scoreline of 1.8 to 0.7.

The county final takes place in The Ragg on Wednesday when St. Colmcille’s face off against the only team to beat them this year, Scoil Ailbhe.

St. Colmcille’s first won this title in 2011 when they beat St. Peter and Paul’s down in Cashel. They won back to back titles it in 2013 and 2014 beating St. Peter and Paul’s and Gaelscoil Thurles respectively. See our Archives for a trip down memory lane!
