Kilmainham Gaol by David Prout

On Friday the 16th June 4th, 5th and 6th and a few Teachers went to Kilmainham Gaol in Dublin.

When we got of the bus we had our lunch and put our bags back in the bus when we were done. Then we went inside Kilmainham Gaol. First we went into the chapel where Joseph Plunkett got married to Grace Gifford.

My favourite part was where the cells were, because you could see what the cells were like.

We went into the Stonebreakers Yard where the seven leaders who signed the proclamation were shot in 1916. There was no messing in there and we were only in there about 5 minutes.

Then we went to a museum there and saw a few things from the jail and from the 1916 Easter rising.

It was a brilliant school tour.

The Viking Splash Tour by William

The senior classes got on the bus for the Viking splash tour in Dublin. It was Friday June the 16th and it was extremely hot

Our tour guide was telling us so many facts about Dublin he was also telling ton of jokes. After a bit of travelling we arrived at a dock. Then some people put floats on the side of the bus. Then the bus drove onto the water and we were floating on the water.

The whole school was amazed!! We all enjoyed the tour!! I hope we can all go again.

On Friday the 16th June the school went on a bus up to Kilmainham Gaol. It was a sunny day.

When we got off the bus we had our lunch and when we were done we put our bags back on the bus.

Then we went into the Gaol and our tour guides Ann and Rebecca showed us around the Gaol. They showed us the cells of the 7 leaders that got executed in the 1916 Rising and the oldest cell in the building. They showed us where Joseph Mary Plunkett and Grace Gifford got married.

They showed us the New Cell Block and we went into stonebreakers yard where the 7 leaders of the 1916 Rising got executed.
