The current Board of Management of St. Colmcille’s Primary School is nearing the end of its four year term of office. A new Board must now be established to take up office from December 1st 2015.
The procedure will involve 3 steps:
Step 1 : We will compile list of parents willing to have their names circulated as candidates and who are also willing to sit on the Board of Management should they be elected. However, under the requirements of the Data Protection Act, we will require permission from each parent to have their name and address included on a list to be circulated only to parents of this school.
Step 2: Selection by parents of up to ten nominees to go forward for election.
Step 3: Voting for 2 representatives from the list of nominees will be he last step.
To begin, we will be asking you to complete and return a form to the class teacher. This form will give us permission to use your name and address on a list that will be given to all the parents of St. Colmcille’s Primary School as part of the election of new Board of Management members. It will also inform us if you are willing to sit on the Board of Management, should you be elected.
Every school in Ireland will be engaged in this process so for parents who have children in more than one school will receive letters for others schools too. This may cause confusion so please take care to read each of the three letters you receive carefully.
