We were very proud in St. Colmcille’s as we welcomed three past pupils to the school as All Ireland Minor Hurling winners last Wednesday. Paddy Cadell, Tom Murphy and Lyndon Fairbrother were joined by team captain Brian McGrath, Mr. Kelly’s son Jerry Kelly and Clonakenny native Diarmuid Ryan as they brought the Irish Press Cup to visit our school. Willie Ryan represented the senior hurlers and proudly held the Liam McCarthy cup as he entered the crowded school hall.
This was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils to meet their idols and to listen to the words of wisdom which they shared. We congratulate both teams on their wonderful achievement and thank them for taking the time to visit our school.
