On the 2nd October it was a mild day. It was the first school U13 Roinn A championship match of the year. St. Colmcille’s played Gaelscoil in the Durlas Óg pitch.
The referee threw up the ball to start the game. We started off the game well with David Kinnane scoring 2 goals. At half time we were leading 4-5 to no score.
In the second half the game grew tighter as each side were exchanging scores. But in the end St.Comlcille’s came out on top with a score line of 6-8 to 2-1.
It was a great day and I hope we have the same success against Scoil Ailbhe. I think Ned Delaney was my Man of the Match.

The Monday Game
It was lovely sunny day as Gaelscoil and St. Colmcilles got under way in the Roinn A U13 football championship.
In the first ten minutes St. Colmcilles were dominating with Michel Cahill and Ned Walsh tantalizing in midfield. Also in the full forward line David Kinnane scored a hat trick on his debut. Ned Delaney finished with 2-3 and Josh Quinlan was brilliant with his blocks. Cormac Foy played a stormer.
I would give man of the match to Cormac Foy it was a great start for St.Colmcilles.
