Congratulations to our U11 quiz team who qualified for the All Ireland Finals in the RDS on 6th April by finishing 2nd in the County Final in Nenagh on Friday night. Well done boys!<\/p>\n

The Credit Union Table Quiz<\/span><\/i><\/b><\/p>\n

On Friday 28th<\/sup> of February, the school\u2019s U11 Credit Union Quiz Team went to the CountyFinals in Nenagh.<\/p>\n

The team consists of four boys: Stephen Cahill, Daniel Tuohy, Kane Conneely and Ewan Quill. We had spent some time having practice sessions in school beforehand but weren\u2019t sure how ready we were. I think our team works really well together as everyone has different interests.<\/p>\n

It took place at 7.30pm at the AbbeyCourtHotel. We had to be there by 7.15pm.\u00a0 The quiz went on in the Function room at the back of the hotel. It was quite crowded by the time the quiz started. We were all feeling excited and nervous at the start but once the quizmaster began, it was fine.<\/p>\n

The majority of questions in the quiz weren\u2019t too hard to answer. A lot of them weren\u2019t too easy either.\u00a0 Sometimes it was just hard to make out what the question was because the sound from the microphone was too muffled.\u00a0 An example of a question we answered was \u201cWhat is the name given to the wiring inside a lightbulb beginning with F?\u201d\u00a0 There was a lot of high-fiving whenever we got a question right.\u00a0 It was a tight finish in the end.\u00a0 We came second and received 40 euros each.\u00a0 We were only 4 points off the winning team, Scoil Ailbhe.\u00a0 We were so thrilled to hear St. Colmcille\u2019s being called out. We were given lots of treats by the organisers and then had our photo taken with Mr. Doyle.<\/p>\n

Overall it was a great evening and I am really looking forward to the All-Ireland Finals on the 6th<\/sup> of April in the RDS.<\/p>\n
