A new Board must now be established to take up office from December 1<sup>st<\/sup> 2015.<br \/>\nThe procedure will involve 3 steps:<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 1 :<\/u>\u00a0\u00a0 We will compile list of parents <strong>willing to have their names circulated<\/strong> as candidates and who are also <strong>willing to sit on the Board of Management<\/strong> should they be elected. However, under the requirements of the Data Protection Act, we will require permission from each parent to have their name and address included on a list to be circulated <u>only<\/u> to parents of this school.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 2:<\/u>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Selection by parents of up to ten nominees to go forward for election.<\/p>\n<p><u>Step 3:<\/u>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Voting for 2 representatives from the list of nominees will be he last step.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>To begin, we will be\u00a0asking you to complete and return a form to the class teacher. This form will give us permission to use your name and address on a list that will be given to all the parents of St. Colmcille\u2019s Primary School as part of the election of new Board of Management members. It will also inform us if you are\u00a0willing to sit on the Board of Management, should\u00a0you be elected.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Every school in Ireland will be engaged in this process so for parents who have children in more than one school will receive letters for others schools too.
