On a beautiful September day, the boys in green took to the field with only two of the fifteen players that played in the final of this tournament last year.<\/p>\n<p>On a day when many of the stars on the field hailed from the younger classes, St. Colmcille&#8217;s were dominant throughout. Making his debut in goal for the school, Christopher Morrissey kept a clean sheet and remained in control whenever tested. In defence, Cian Sheedy, Kane Conneely, Josh Quinlan, Jordan Collins, Luke Ormond and Se\u00e1n Collier kept Moycarkey scoreless in the first half.<\/p>\n<p>Michael Cahill and Ciaran McCormack pulled the strings at midfield with McCormack contributing 1-2 to the score sheet.<\/p>\n<p>A man of the match performance from Brian Quinn saw him score five points from play, while Mikey Delaney also raised a green flag for the boys from Templemore. Luke Ormond (0-2) and Edward Ryan (0-1) completed the scoring with David Higgins, Tom Corcoran and Aidan Prout providing support.<\/p>\n<p>On a day when 32 players proudly wore the green jersey, some for the first time, one could only be pleased with the effort, attitude and performance of a great panel. Well done to all.
